The flow rate/volume of fluid can be measured using ultrasonic transducers, based on the ToF (time of flight), which is the ultrasound traveling time difference between downstream and upstream in gas or water fluid. It has been widely using in gas flow meters and water flow meters。The real time billing and security monitoring can be achieved through the connection of IoT network system. It can benefit the efficiency of energy consumption.  The principle is shown in the figure below:
