At the moment when the power is turned on, the NTC has a higher resistance, so it will suppress the surge current for about 1 to 2 seconds. During this period of time, the internal resistance of the NTC will decrease due to the increase in temperature. Until the voltage drop across the NTC thermistor is negligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cfNTC thermistor, that is, negative temperature coefficient thermistor, its characteristic is that the resistance value decreases nonlinearly with the increase of temperature. NTC is generally divided into temperature measuring thermistor and power thermistor in the application. The NTC thermistor used to suppress surge refers to the power thermistor.
